Celiac disease occurs when protein in the form of gluten affects one’s health. Those diagnosed with psoriasis have proven to have a higher number of markers for sensitivity towards gluten. Processed foods
A diet that mainly consists of processed foods leads to a high-calorie intake, which, in turn, leads to conditions such as obesity, metallic syndrome, or other forms of chronic health conditions. Some of these conditions end up causing even chronic inflammation in the body, which is known to be associated with psoriasis flare-ups as well. Some of the foods you most definitely need to avoid are processed meats, food products that are prepackaged, fruits and vegetables that are canned, or foods that contain high salt, sugar, or fat ratios.
Nightshades
A commonly reported trigger for psoriasis flare-ups are nightshades. These foods contain a compound known as solanine. This disrupts the digestion process and leads to inflammation in the body. Some of the most common nightshades to avoid are tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, and peppers.
Alcohol
This is one of the most disruptive foods for psoriasis and is a definite no-no in any form of diet, especially when you have psoriasis.
